Nate Lange Bio

Welcome to Mount Pleasant Middle School! My name is Nathan Lange, and it is a honor to serve the community, parents, students and staff as the building principal.

I think it’s worth mentioning that I graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College in 2006 with an English Degree in Secondary Education. In 2012, I decided to go back to school to complete my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I graduated from Arkansas State University in the Spring of 2014.

I began working for the Mount Pleasant Community School District during the 2006-07 school year as a long-term substitute. The following year I was hired as a High School English Teacher and served in this position for seven years. After serving as a teacher, the district provided me with an opportunity to become the Secondary Literacy Coach, and I filled that role from 2014 to 2016.

Starting this year, 2016-17, I have been given yet again another opportunity to fulfill a new role, the Middle School Building Principal, and I couldn’t be happier. I am proud of the fact that my entire educational career, from student-teaching, to substitute, to teacher, to instructional coach and finally the Middle School Building Principal, has all taken place within the Mount Pleasant Community School District. Mount Pleasant has helped shape me into the educator that I am today. For that, I am thankful.

As stated before, it has been an honor to serve the district. I have really enjoyed my time in the Mount Pleasant Community, and I look forward to serving another year with the school.
